Memory Matters was founded by two passionate students driven by a shared goal: to make brain health and memory care more accessible, empathetic, and empowering for all. United by our interest in neuroscience and commitment to make a difference, we launched Memory Matters to educate, advocate, and support those affected by memory-related conditions—especially Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Arya Devanath
Hi! I'm Arya, a high school student at California High School, deeply passionate about neuroscience, medicine, and the human brain.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy Bharathanatyam, writing--where I published my own book called The Defiance (linked)--watching horror movies, swimming, and much more!

As a cofounder of Memory Matters, I am committed to addressing the challenges faced by individuals living with Dementia, Parkinsons, raising awareness through fundraisers and events that will increase understanding and support for similar patients.

Disha Bhattacharyya
Hi, I am Disha, a student at California High School. I have a deep passion for table tennis, Indian classical dance, baking pastries, socializing with friends, and cherishing moments with my younger brother.​

In future, I would like to pursue a pre-med degree, specialize in neurosurgery, with the goal to make meaningful contributions to the field of neuroscience and improve lives through advanced medical care.

I'm committed to raising awareness and developing cutting edge solutions for Dementia. Through Memory Matters, you can also join a huge team of devoted volunteers to push for a change and create something truly great.

Hi, I'm Ananya! I'm a junior at Novi High School in Michigan. I love volunteering and everything math. I also like dance, reading nonfiction, writing short stories, scrolling TikTok, and sprinting in Track and Field. At Memory Matters, I look forward to expanding knowledge and the accessibility of support for those affected by dementia, I hope to learn more myself! In the future, I'd like to use my tech and financial experience to make something meaningful and improve lives.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, writing, baking, and crocheting. I hope to spread my passion for this captivating field with my community through Memory Matters!

Hi! My name is Mahitha and I’m a senior in high school. My connection to the field of neuroscience stems from something personal, which has pushed me to take the time to research and deepen my understanding of in psychology and how our brains work!

Outside of work, I’ve been dancing for eight years, and I love reading, drawing, watching a variety of dramas, and exploring manhwas and comics—all of which fuel my creativity in developing engaging stories and educational materials.

I’m Dwaraka B., the eBook Director at Memory Matters, where I lead the creation of digital educational resources to help the public better understand dementia and Alzheimer’s. I enjoy using my skills in research and critical thinking to turn complex topics into clear, accessible content for families, caregivers, and the wider community.

Hi, I'm Candace! I'm a freshman at St. Robert Catholic High School in Ontario, interested in healthcare, life sciences, and business.
